Do you need to find and restore a previously deleted file? There are ways to recover your data back if you use Box, Dropbox, Google Drive, iCloud, iDrive, or Microsoft OneDrive. This is how.
Don't be alarmed if you utilize an online storage service and a crucial document, photo, or file goes missing. Box, Dropbox, Google Drive, and Microsoft OneDrive all provide a recycling bin or trash folder where you may keep deleted data.
These files are only stored for up to 30 days after deletion, so if you wish to restore something, you must act quickly. The core procedure is the same for any big storage facility, while the processes may differ significantly. This guide will show you how to restore lost data from an online storage service.
Box Online Storage
Box website's sidebar menu, there is a Trash folder. Click into the folder to look for your lost file, or use the Search form at the top of the screen to look for it by name. If you find the file, right-click it and choose Restore.
Dropbox Online Storage
You have up to 30 days to recover a deleted file if you have a free Dropbox personal account. A Dropbox Business account increases the time restriction to 120 days. Click the Files link on the Dropbox site, then pick Deleted Files from the sidebar menu. You may then browse the list of files or use the Search box to find what you're looking for. Select Restore from the right side window after clicking the file you require.
Google Drive Online Storage
To examine any files in your Google Drive trash, pick the Trash icon in the left-hand sidebar. You may also utilize the Search area, and Google will notify you if the file is found in the Trash. To restore the file, right-click it and select Restore. Google Drive used to keep files in the Trash folder permanently, but it now deletes them after 30 days.
iCloud Drive Online Storage
Click Recently Deleted in the lower-right corner of the iCloud Drive page. Choose the desired file and click Recover. Click your account profile image in the top right and select Account Settings to find previously deleted files. Scroll to the bottom to the Advanced area, where you may choose to recover deleted files, contacts, calendars and reminders, and bookmarks. Select the file you require by clicking Restore Files, then click Restore.
iDrive Online Storage
If you're using iDrive, go to the left-hand window and choose Trash. To find your deleted file, choose View deleted backup files or View deleted sync files. Choose the file you want to recover and press the Put Back button.
Microsoft OneDrive Online Storage
OneDrive features a Recycle bin where previously deleted files are kept for 30 days before being permanently removed. If you have a work or school account, you may have up to 93 days to recover the files. You may recover deleted files by accessing the recycle bin or searching for the file by name. To restore the file, select it and then click Restore. You can also choose to restore all of the things in the trash.
